Allergens & labelling
RiceShots are prepacked dry herb and spice blends. We list ingredients and the UK’s 14 major allergens on each product page before you buy (distance selling).
The 14 major allergens
Under UK FIC (retained Regulation 1169/2011), these must be emphasised when present as ingredients:
- celery
- cereals containing gluten
- crustaceans
- eggs
- fish
- lupin
- milk
- molluscs
- mustard
- nuts
- peanuts
- sesame
- soya
- sulphites
How we show them
- Each product page lists ingredients (allergens in bold) and a clear “Contains: …” line before Add to basket.
- Checkout summarises allergens in your basket before payment.
- Packs will carry the same information once batch sheets are final.
Packed in a kitchen that also handles sesame and celery. Check each product for allergens present as ingredients.
We do not invent precautionary “may contain” claims per SKU without a documented risk assessment. Recipes marked draft are illustrative pending final batch sheets — confirm before first sale.
Shots that contain a major allergen
- Cajun PotContains: Celery
- Nori FurikakeContains: Sesame
- Kimchi HeatContains: Sesame
All other shots currently list Contains: none of the 14 major allergens — still check the product page. Pine nuts (Garden Pesto) and coconut are not among the 14; nutmeg is not a tree nut for labelling.
